Effective Dec. 31, 2005, anyone leaving the country will need a passport. The current waiting time is 75-120 days!
Steps (to my knowledge):
1) Get passport photo from somewhere like Kinko’s
2) Fill out This Form
3) Take the following items to the Post Office:
– Proof of US Citizenship
– Proof of Identity
– Two recent color photographs
– Fee
(I’ll update this post if there are more steps that I learn about…)
Start the process now and get it over with!
