This all happened VERY fast… a week ago it was a fleeting thought, and now we have signed our lives away to the first home either of us have ever owned. It’s exciting and nerve racking all at the same time, but then again so is marriage. Great steps in life never come easy.
Our realtor is the mother of one of Julie’s bridesmaids. Maureen showed us 2 houses last week (Tuesday) and the second one was THE ONE. We joked about her customers that would go see 50 houses and then come back to the first few they looked at. This one struck us that way, so we went with our gut and made an offer…nothing to lose. Once problem, Maureen was leaving for Hawaii on Friday!! Luckily her coworkers at the agency were prepared to fill-in once she was gone.
The sellers accepted our offer after only one counter-offer and we signed the contract yesterday!
