It’s official. My sweet little baby is not a newborn anymore. I don’t know how this happened, but sometime around Thursday or Friday of last week I looked at him and he looked different. His face has already fattened up and he is much sturdier than before. He doesn’t sleep all day and is quite alert for most of the day. His eating habits are obviously well established and we don’t have any problems with nursing. Reed has discovered his tongue and loves to play with it in his mouth. He also has new noises and his cry is getting louder (oh joy).
I really can’t believe I have been off of work for 4 weeks and that we have had him for 4 weeks. Time is definitely flying. It feels like a lifetime ago that we were in the hospital.
Happy 4 week birthday little Reed!!
Love Mom
Neat! This blog is going to be such a treasure to you. You both are doing a GREAT job.
I know he will have his days, but one can tell he is very loved & content.
Hugs.
I remember days during my maternity leave when I just sit rocking Kate while she slept on my chest and wishing I could just freeze time because it does go entirely to fast!! We’re looking forward to seeing Reed for some Aggie baseball later this month!
I remember when I woke up one morning and Darren looked bigger (and whiter-after the jaundice wore off). It’s a neat thing to see and it will happen over and over. I’m so happy for you. Motherhood is grand. Caitlin is four months now and has started saying “Oh”. It’s too cute. It will be fun to get the kids together this fall.
PS You can still call him a newborn:-)
