costa rica

Amongst all the anticipation of our first pregnancy, I am going on my first mission trip. There are 12 of us going to San Jose, Costa Rica for a week. The agenda is pretty low-key, as it is an “Intro to Missions” opportunity from our church. We’ll be doing some construction projects, food distribution and vacation bible school at an orphanage.

The bus leaves the church tonight at 6pm sharp. We drive to Houston tonight in order to fly tomorrow morning directly to Costa Rica via Continental Airlines. In Houston we will be spending the night at Foundry United Methodist Church, former home of our own Pastor Adam.

The day is quickly coming when we can spread the news of our pregnancy to our friends and extended family. Immediately after I return home from Costa Rica, Julie will be leaving for Anacortes, WA for work. After all the travel is done we will break the news… until then… “ssshhhhhh”!!

  1. Congratulations guys! I agree that it is SO hard to keep something like this a secret, and you must feel so overjoyed to be able to share it with the world! Hang on for a fun ride! Can’t wait to meet the newest “peanut!”
